"I've been on in-person workshops and done plenty of online training but nothing has improved my photography faster than joining Landscape Mastery."

Laurence Oakley

Does this sound like you?

  • You often get “almost great” photos but something about them just feels flat or boring.

  • You’ve watched countless YouTube videos, but you still feel unsure how to actually put it all together in the field.

  • You know the basic rules of photography, but when you’re out shooting, it all flies out of the window.

  • You’ve tried editing, but your photos end up looking either overdone or you get lost.

Well, you're not alone...

I didn't capture wall worthy photos until I discovered the step-by-step frameworks that the pros use.

Just three years ago, my landscape photos were terrible.

And even though I haven’t upgraded any of my camera gear in a long time, my photos have gone from amateurish to award winning.

Before

After

The weird thing is…

Taking professional-level photos is actually pretty easy once you understand how.

I bought my first camera because I wanted an excuse to do more hill walking.

I figured — if I’m surrounded by all this beauty, I might as well capture it.

But every time I came home and looked through my photos, I felt that gut punch of disappointment.

The views that took my breath away on the mountain looked flat, dull, and lifeless on my screen.

So I did what most people do…

I bought a more expensive camera.

Then new lenses.

Then tripods, filters, accessories — the works.

But nothing changed.

My photos still looked amateur.

And I started thinking maybe I just didn’t have “the eye” for photography.

Maybe I wasn’t creative enough to take professional-quality photos I could actually be proud of.

It was at this point that I was ready to give up.

But the reason why I wasn't taking professional level photos wasn't the effort I was putting in.

I had been following the wrong advice.

It turns out that most world-class landscape photographers are just terrible at teaching.

These long term pros spoke over my head. Their ramblings about the “art of photography” were full of jargon and their smugness didn't help either…

And then it hit me.

Before

After

I’d spent the past decade of my life building Salesman.com which is a consulting business where I take incredibly complex, multi-stakeholder business deals… and break them down into simple, step-by-step frameworks so that they get done.

So I asked myself:

“What if I could do the same for photography?”

Because in landscape photography, we actually have an advantage compared to other genres of photography:

Lakes, trees, and mountains don’t move very fast.

You have time to think before you shoot.

You have the time to follow a process

So first I documented a simple step-by-step system for getting razor-sharp landscape photos and shared it on YouTube.

That video exploded with over 500,000 views.

Then I created another framework covering  how to pick the perfect metering mode every time.

Almost a million amateur photographers like you watched these videos too.

I started to get featured on the worlds biggest photography blogs.

And I even won awards from international landscape photography competitions.

And something unexpected happened…

While I was using these brand new frameworks and tools, my own photography completely transformed.

I realised that if you have the right step-by-step process to follow, then creating professional level photos that you’d be proud to hang on your walls at home become inevitable.

And now, I want to teach you the exact frameworks and give you the exact ToolKit that took me from frustrated amateur to confident, award winning landscape photographer.

Plus get EXCLUSIVE access to the ToolKit

One of the biggest challenges of landscape photography is heading out to a location,  the light doesn’t show up and the conditions are boring.

The rarely discussed skill of fieldcraft solves these issues.

The propriety Photography Explained ToolKit has made fieldcraft easy so that you can capture stunning photos and make the professionals look bad.

Scout Better Locations

Find incredible landscape locations in a few clicks rather than decades of researching.

  • Drop pins anywhere in the world

  • Instantly see nearby photo opportunities that other photographers have shot

  • Save locations with custom search radius

  • Organise spots into folders (Wales, Lakes, Local, etc.)

Build your location library

Build your private library of shoot locations.

  • Never forget about the locations you've found

  • Make it easy to plan phototrips

  • Never wonder "where should I go this morning" again

Forecast With Precision

Start turning up when the conditions actually work.

No more guessing. No more “it looked good on the drive over.”

Get a plain-English shoot briefing that tells you:

  • What’s likely to happen at each location

  • When to be there

  • And what kind of images are possible

This is the difference between:

“I hope this pans out” and “I know exactly what I’m shooting today.”

Rapidly Improve Your Photos

Upload your images and instantly, professional level, structured feedback so you can rapidly improve your landscape photography.

You get:

  • First impression feedback

  • Composition breakdown

  • Light and tonal analysis

  • What’s working

  • What to improve next time

This creates an instant feedback loop most photographers never get but desperately need.

Shoot → Review → Improve → Repeat

Let me take all the risk...

I am completely confident that our frameworks and ToolKit will work for you. It’s already helped countless photographers just like you create wall worthy images they're proud of.

But I understand that it’s an investment and all investments carry risk. It’s only worth your money if it works for you.

So to make it an absolute no brainer for you, I’m going to personally shoulder ALL the risk.

That’s right – if it doesn’t work for you, you wont pay a penny!

Simply shoot me an email and I’ll refund you immediately.

This way, it’s a complete win-win. You either start creating professional level photos or you don’t pay AND you learned something new, essentially for free.

[you’ll even get to keep all of the training materials, simply as a way of saying thanks for giving me a shot!]

FAQ

“When does it start?”

The 8-week program starts Tuesday 16th June 2026. So be quick and apply as there are only very limited spaces in this cohort.

“What happens after the 8-weeks?”

You get lifetime access to all of the call recordings, training materials and resources but you lose access to the weekly live classes and Q/A calls.

“What if I’m just not naturally talented at photography?”

Talent isn’t required. The program gives you frameworks and checklists that remove guesswork, so you can consistently create strong images even if you don’t feel creative. Most students improve simply by following the steps.

“What if I can’t attend all the live calls?”

Before each live call you can submit your questions. I then answer questions for everyone on the call and then answer any that were submitted. You then receive a copy of the video with your questions answered to watch.

“I’ve tried YouTube tutorials before and didn’t get better. How is this different?”

Random tips don’t lead to progress. This program is structured, sequential, and focused on the real bottlenecks hobbyists face—composition, light, planning, and on-location decision-making. It’s a system, not scattered advice.

“Do I need expensive gear to make this work?”

No. Most people plateau because of decisions and habits—not equipment. Everything you learn applies no matter what camera you own (even older models).

“What if I start and feel overwhelmed?”

The training is designed to be simple and linear. You always know what to do next, and you can ask questions at any time through the Q&A area if something doesn’t click.

“I don’t live near dramatic landscapes. Will this still help?”

Yes. The frameworks work anywhere. You’ll learn how to find compositions, light, and atmosphere in local parks, hills, coastlines, or everyday locations—not just bucket-list spots.

“I’m worried this will be too basic… or too advanced.”

The course sits perfectly between beginner tutorials and advanced technical workshops. You’ll learn the advanced fundamentals—the things most hobbyists never get taught but that unlock the biggest improvements.

“Is this going to be overwhelming with technical jargon?”

No. Everything is explained in plain language with visual examples. You don’t need to be a tech person to follow along.

“What if I fall behind or get busy?”

No pressure. You get lifetime access and all future updates. You can learn at your own pace and return whenever you need a refresher.

“How do I know this will work for me specifically?”

The frameworks are universal and adaptable. Whether you prefer mountains, coastlines, woodland, or cityscapes, the same principles apply—and you can submit questions anytime to get personalised clarification.

There are only 3 places left in the June cohort. Are you ready to start taking the best landscape photos you can be proud of?

The classes are live and so once the cohort starts you won’t be able to sign up for at least another 8-weeks (probably longer as I’ll take a couple of months to recover… and go and do some of my own photography).

That means as soon as these spaces are gone, the doors will close.

The question is, do you want to wait, miss out on the training, and keep taking snapshots when you’re truly capable of capturing professional level landscape images?
